SAUTE STRING BEANS and BABY CORN WITH CHICKEN



Today we are going to cook vegetable combination. Vegetable?? I don't like a vegetable. Ohh, don't worry I promise you will like this vegetable cuisine, cause I combine this vegetable with chicken meat. I love to cook vegetable cause I always meet fresh vegetable at my traditional market every time I went shopping there. I'm using string beans and baby corn, like the title said LOL.






Of all types of cuisine, I always like vegetable cuisine the most and especially if the vegetables cooked with meat or seafood. The flavor from the vegetables will change into something different and very rich of flavor and taste. Like my previously dishes, Stir Fried Pocai With Prawns the Pocai vegetable taste so sweet cause it's affected from the freshness of the prawns.



I'm using saute method to cook this cuisine, saute method is my favorite one cause is very quick, simple and produce the best result. Ohh I just remember, don't soak baby corn and string beans with hot water, if you do that you will lose the crunchy from the fresh vegetables, just cut and wash clean before you saute. Saute over high heat like Chinese food cooking method, so you will get the maximum flavor from all ingredients.

Ingredients :


  • 1-ounce fresh string beans
  • 1/2 ounce baby corn
  • 1 pieces big red chili
  • 1-ounce chicken breast meat 
  • 1 chopped garlic
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon M.S.G
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 2 tablespoon cooking wine
  • 3 tablespoon oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken stok
  • 1 teaspoon cornstrach
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil


Directions :

  1. Cut string beans, baby corn into 3cm long and slice big red chili into 1/2 cm long.
  2. Slice the chicken breast meat into 2cm square and 0.5 cm thick.
  3. Combine seasoning : put 1/2 cup chicken stock, 1 teaspoon oyster sauce, 1/4 M.S.G, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, 1/4 teaspoon white pepper, tablespoon sesame oil, 2 tablespoons cooking wine into the bowl and mix well.
  4. Combine Cornstarch : mix 1 teaspoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoon water in a small bowl.

Methods :

  1. Pour 3 tablespoon oil into the wok and heat, put the chicken breast meat into the wok, sauteed briefly and then followed by string beans, baby corn, big red chili and chopped garlic .
  2. Then input the combined seasoning into a wok and mix well until all chicken meat, string bean and baby corn cook well.
  3. Before remove from the wok put the combine cornstarch and stir until slightly thickened, remove and serve.


Notes :

  • You may not use the chicken breast meat, oyster sauce, and chicken stock ( replace with water ) so this menu could be classified as a vegetarian menu.
