Fried Chicken Shumai
Shumai is most famous snacks in china, usually made form pork, shrimp and several types of seasonings and herbs, you can replace pork with chicken if you like. Shumai or I can call Chinese dumpling could also be steamed, fried, and boiled. It's more healthy if you steamed or boiled rather then fried but honestly, I like the fried one then steamed or boiled even fried much more cholesterol I still choose fried lol.
You can use tomato catchup as a condiment for this fried shumai or maybe you can try with thousand island sauce , hmmmm....i think is yummy, although I never tried it before but I can imagine it and I think it's delicious.
Shumai dough is ready to fry without being wrapped in wonton skin, you can form into a small meatball and simply fried. And congratulations you already create another new variant of this recipe, that's I call the art of cooking lol. I'm pretty sure if it formed into a small ball and simply fried, our kids are definitely like to eat.
There is a tip for you when to make shumai dough, after the shumai dough is well blended with all ingredients try to slam the dough again for 1 minutes. Slam ??? yup slams it, pick up the dough little bit high with your hand and slam it into the mixing bowl but don't too hard or you will breaking you kitchen ware lol.
Okay here I make it more simple to make shumai, I hope all the ingredients are easily found at the supermarket or traditional market. You can try the recipe below and good luck.
